Welcome back to Retropower Uncut!
Undoubtedly, the biggest development this week comes from the Metalwork Hall. Project Munich( the BMW E9 restomod) has been removed from the centre jig and placed onto one of our four-post lifts. It marks another key stage in the build process, and an exciting one at that. It also gives us, the Retropower collective, the perfect opportunity to step back and admire this stunning project from a whole new perspective.
The other major update involves the Golf VR6, a long-time resident of the Assembly shop. We’re pushing hard to return it to its owner in the coming months, and this week it made a trip to Northampton Motorsport for a dyno session. We won’t spoil the numbers, you’ll have to watch the video for that, but we can say the results were seriously impressive.
Elsewhere, we’ve got an update on Bobby’s pride and joy, Project Wassabi, along with another instalment from George and Luke in the CAD Den – the CAD Collective! Plenty to get stuck into this week; let’s dive in.
