Embarking on a project with us represents the start of a long-standing relationship and as with any relationship this should not be entered into without due consideration!
Before contacting us with your ideas consider what your intended use of the vehicle is. For example something built for relaxed road trips to the Mediterranean will require a very different specification to something intended for a weekend thrash into the backroads of the UK and it’s important not to get too hung up on a specific car and engine combination without thinking through it’s practical use.

At this point it’s worth mentioning budget – of course every project is different, however to avoid anyone’s time being spent unnecessarily: no projects fall into the sub-£100k bracket.
At RETROPOWER we are passionate about just about anything with wheels, but it is important that we have a connection with every project we do – this is what keeps our team motivated and excited to be involved.
As every project is the start of a long-term relationship between yourself and our team, it’s extremely important to us that the personal dynamic is right.
As a minimum, a video call to chat about your ideas is necessary, although ideally a visit to our facility in person so we can have a good old-fashioned chat, brew and look around!
At this stage we’ll have gathered enough information to give a ball-park idea of the required budget for your project.
If everything falls into place – the project is something we’re mutually excited by, the relationship feels right and the budget is there… we’re on!

We can use the waiting time before your workshop booking to pin down specifications, carry out visual renderings to agree cosmetics and where necessary source a donor car and/or parts.
Once your slot arrives, we work continuously on the project until completion.
Projects are invoiced at regular intervals with fully detailed breakdowns of labour and parts expenditure. As a client you have a portal, both via web browser and mobile app, which provides a continuous media feed covering every detail of the work being carried out.
