Opel Ascona 400 – Retro Cars Magazine

Curt’s Ascona was actually the very first ‘ground up’ rebuild we were entrusted with, and as such it will always occupy a special place in our affections. Not only is it a significant car in Retropower history, it remains a popular project thanks to its mix of classic Dealer Team Opel styling and naturally aspirated C20XE performance, hence its feature in Retro Cars magazine.

“I knew they were the real deal,” Curt said. “They had other marques of car there but their passion for Opel’s really stood out – I was really impressed, they have some mental ideas too.”

“Rather, like all of the builds to drive out of this Leicestershire-based shop, the completed care speaks for itself – but it’s when you get under the skin that you truly start to appreciate the gravity of the work undertaken.”

“The car is a work of art, with a first class finish and attention to detail that raises the bar for future Opel builds.”
