Few people have been as excited by the prospect of our ‘Lucky Strike’ Austin Allegro/Honda Integra Type R as Johnny Smith – petrolhead hero and the man behind the hugely popular Late Brake Show. And with good reason. Not only is Johnny a long-time friend of Retropower, he’s also in the midst of his own Allegro rehabilitation project (albeit one powered by a turbocharged Honda K20) and is a self-confessed British Leyland apologist. All of which made him the perfect person to get behind the wheel of Project Lucky Strike for its first proper road test. Enjoy!
