He’s now become an indispensable force in this, the creative and technical heart of the workshop and RETROPOWER car-creation process.
Luke’s expertise in CAD and 3D printing has left its mark on several of our most ambitious builds. From the bespoke dash and centre console designs on Project Brenner (Aston Martin DBS) to the 3D-printed interior and exterior prototypes scattered throughout Project Geneva (Jaguar E-Type), his work marries precision and creative flair.
Nowhere is his influence more complete than on Project Churchill – our one-of-a-kind Mk2 Jaguar coupe conversion – where Luke conceived the majority of the interior, including the custom door cards, centre console, dashboard, and the subtly clever means of ensuring the diamond-quilted leather headlining is kept in place and perfectly taut.
Outside the CAD Den, Luke is as car-obsessed as they come. A childhood of Discovery Turbo episodes quickly evolved into a deep, hands-on appreciation for all things automotive, fuelled further by countless hours spent immersed in the online car culture of YouTube.
He’s also no stranger to a project car of his own. Having graduated from a Suzuki Swift Sport to a Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 (now sporting a rather un-Jaguar-like exhaust and ride height), Luke continues to explore tuning and modification routes in true RETROPOWER fashion.
