Adam Gibbons

A vital member of our Assembly Hall team, Adam – better known to all as Gibbo – epitomises the RETROPOWER ethos of relentless attention to detail. His commitment to precision, quality, and getting things exactly right makes him an invaluable asset on any project.

Whether the task at hand is complex or routine, Gibbo consistently delivers with polish, pace, and pride. Just don’t ask him to sing anything that isn’t Oasis – the results are invariably less refined than his engineering work.

A talented engineer with a strong background in hands-on automotive builds, Adam has proven himself more than capable across a wide range of challenges. His craftsmanship can be seen on numerous standout Retropower projects, including the Project Rooster Jensen Interceptor, Project Sant Joan Toyota Land Cruiser, and the twin Project Lucky Strike Allegros. Across all of these, his eye for minutiae and mechanical skill have left a lasting impression.

Outside of the workshop, Gibbo is a true grassroots motorsport enthusiast. His racing CV spans everything from banger racing and short ovals to the one-make Fiesta XR2 Challenge – proof that he’s happy behind the wheel of anything, so long as it’s old, fast, and slightly rough around the edges. When not buried in a build or elbow-deep in a car, you’ll likely find him in far-flung Norfolk, passionately supporting his beloved Norwich City FC through thick and thin.
