Steve Coulton

Originally brought on board for his expert bodywork skills, Steve has since expanded his role significantly within RETROPOWER. These days, he’s the man behind the planning and routing of our custom wiring looms – a complex task that he’s made entirely his own.

His first major successes in this arena came with Project Lucky Strike One and Two, our pair of ‘restomodded’ Austin Allegros, both of which benefited from his precise and methodical approach to electrical integration.

That said, Steve’s background in bodywork is no less impressive. His CV reads like a who’s who of British motorsport, having worked with elite organisations including McLaren, Red Bull Racing, and has F1. He’s even contributed to Olympic glory, playing a role in preparing and painting the high – performance bicycles used by Team GB’s cycling team at the 2016 Olympics.

A dedicated perfectionist with a sharp eye for detail, Steve combines technical expertise with genuine passion – and nowhere is that passion more evident than in his ever-growing personal fleet. A true car enthusiast with an incurable love for the weird and wonderful, his collection has included two Vauxhall Chevettes, a Saab-engined Corsa, a Nissan S14 drift car, a Nova and a rotating cast of Land and Range Rovers.
