UNCUT VIDEO BLOG: EPISODE 287

With Stu away on holiday, it’s been a quieter week than usual in the Metalwork Hall, but we’ve still managed to pack plenty in.

Leading the charge is Project Munich BMW, which has been Matt and Nat’s main focus. Matt has been hard at work on the doors and rear three-quarters, while Nat has been tackling the fuel tank and boot floor.

Further along the workshop, attention turns to Project Wasaabi and Project Altabani — the Saab and Fiat Dino respectively. Bobby has been busy on the Saab, concentrating on the reworked doors and their complex, somewhat convoluted sealing system. It’s technically demanding work, but he’s taking it in his stride.

Over on the Fiat, things have been a little more challenging. Scott has found himself tested — and occasionally frustrated — by the work, but tune in to see how progress is coming along.

The bodyshop remains the domain of Luke, Gaz and Marc, along with Project Geneva, the Jaguar E-Type restomod. Progress continues, although paint is still a little way off.

Across in the Assembly Hall, Project Lucky Strike — the Allegro restomods — continue their shakedown phase, alongside Project Stravaig, the Camaro. We’ve also been busy fabricating custom exhausts for the Allegro, the V8-powered Manta and the Mk1 Golf GTI… exhausting stuff, eh?

There’s also an interior update on Project Churchill, and we genuinely can’t wait to show it in its finished form over the coming weeks.

Last, but certainly not least, George and Luke bring us an update from their lofty CAD perch: George on the Scimitar (and our use of some seriously cool VR hardware to show it to its lucky owners) and Luke on the Geneva Jag.
