Now firmly established as one of the leading names in British motoring heritage, Frontline Cars welcomed the Retropower Club for a visit in spring 2026.
Having built a glowing reputation through its sublime restomod interpretations of the beloved MGB, Frontline’s approach combines the understated elegance of the original BL-era design with thoughtful engineering and carefully selected modern hardware. This is certainly not your father’s tired old B-Series GT.
With that in mind, it came as no surprise that the announcement of our Club visit was met with genuine excitement and anticipation. Sixteen of our more intrepid members made the pilgrimage and were rewarded with an impressively comprehensive look behind the scenes, along with the opportunity to get up close and personal with Frontline’s signature creation: the LE60.
We can neither confirm nor deny whether any additional LE60 orders were placed on the day, but we can certainly attest to the enthusiasm, passion and admiration the project inspired among everyone in attendance.
While the Frontline visit was undoubtedly the highlight of the day, it was by no means the only one. Our itinerary also included a stop at Caffeine and Machine for exceptional coffee and the chance to admire an even broader selection of automotive curiosities.
As expected, it delivered on both counts. Before long, Club members were gathered around an eclectic mix of machinery that included a stellar line-up of BMW M-cars, a remarkably original, box-fresh Nova saloon and — in a fitting nod to the wonderfully diverse spirit of Caffeine and Machine — a stunning Audi 100 Coupé.
Oh, and the incredible Ford Cortina P100 pickup (the enduring favourite of farmers and enthusiasts alike) brought along by one of our Club members. Suffice it to say, we were all big fans.
