Welcome to Sunday evening and Retropower Uncut – your weekly roundup of everything happening at RP HQ.
Metalwork kicks off with some very special family news concerning our favourite Saab savant, Bobby. It’s brilliant news—and goes a long way to explaining why progress on the Quattro-underpinned Saab project car has been a little quieter this week.
Elsewhere in the world of grinding, welding and sanding, the BMW E9 continues to take shape, now with both rear three-quarters in place. Meanwhile, Matt has been deep into metalwork on the front-end of the Project Brenner Aston Martin over the past five days. The results, we’re sure you’ll agree, speak for themselves.
Over in Assembly, it’s all hands on deck for Project Churchill and Project Rooster. The former’s interior is really starting to come together, while the latter is edging ever closer to its first fire-up—now just a month or so away. And then there’s the main event this week (particularly for the CAD Collective) the Jaguar E-Type restomod, Project Geneva. Big strides have been made here, with plenty of carbon-coated progress to dive into.
So, settle in—it’s time for a proper debrief.
