One of a pair of Mercedes 250 SL projects currently being given the Retropower treatment, this particular car will be restored to showroom spec, the fate awaiting pretty much any and all remaining ‘Pagodas,’ largely as they’re now worth such massive, eyebrow-raising sums!
The owner of this car stumbled upon it while driving through the USA and jumped at the chance to purchase, then import it to the UK. We therefore took delivery of a solid yet weathered example, recently commissioned to running status but without matching engine numbers. Originally silver – albeit faded and time worn silver – the W113 has since been given a coat of modern Mercedes grey, and will eventually be restored to a useable, highly presentable state.
